Davengel Retail - HRM, CRM & POS System

Davengel is a Laravel‑based retail management web application I developed to demonstrate a real‑world, multi‑role solution for a neighborhood store in Makongeni, Thika. As the sole architect and developer, I designed and implemented role‑based access for Customers, Employees and Credit‑Account Clients, ensuring each user sees only the tools they need. Shoppers browse and search fresh food, staples and household essentials; credit customers view balances, payment history and make repayments; staff use a dashboard for real‑time sales entry, inventory adjustments and end‑of‑day reconciliation. Every transaction is secured with Laravel’s built‑in authentication, middleware and policy layers, and critical operations are wrapped in database transactions for data integrity.

Under the hood, I leveraged Laravel’s MVC structure, Blade templating, Eloquent ORM and migration system to keep the codebase clean, maintainable and testable. I optimized performance with eager loading, route caching and queued jobs for nightly inventory snapshots. The intuitive, mobile‑responsive UI was built with Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js, providing a fast, interactive experience without unnecessary dependencies. This project highlights my ability to take a complex business process, translate it into modular Laravel components, and deliver a secure, scalable application; demo access is available upon request.
