Legal Assistant - Orina Law

Live Project

Project Overview

Legal Assistant is a responsive static website I built with the team at Orina Law PC to help Kenyans navigate the judicial system with a focus on alternative dispute resolution. It uses pure HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla JavaScript to deliver clear guidance on a range of case types such as civil law, criminal law, family law, commercial and tax law, admiralty law, judicial review, anti corruption matters and more.

The site opens with a prominent Disclaimer section. Here users learn that the content is for general informational purposes only and not a substitute for legal advice. They are directed to consult an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya before taking any action. Below the disclaimer, each Case Type card presents the topic (for example civil matters or family matters), a brief overview and a Learn More link that anchors to detailed sections on court jurisdictions, filing procedures and options for mediation or arbitration.

Navigation is powered by a simple menu icon that displays all page links without requiring full page reloads. Smooth scroll scripting enhances the user experience, while CSS Grid and Flexbox layouts adapt seamlessly across mobile, tablet and desktop screens. All external links open in new browser tabs and the overall codebase remains lightweight, with no frameworks or build tools—making it easy to host online or offline.

By combining a clean, intuitive interface with expert‑vetted content from Orina Law PC, Legal Assistant empowers users to understand their legal pathways, prepare necessary documents and take informed steps toward dispute resolution. The complete source and demo access are available on request.
